Wall Street sets AMD stock price target with over 60% upside potential

Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) is back in focus on Wall Street after Wells Fargo outlined a bullish outlook, pointing to significant upside over the next 12 months.

The bank added AMD to its Q2 Tactical Ideas List, signaling growing confidence in the chipmaker’s near-term setup, particularly ahead of its upcoming earnings report.

Strong AI and server demand drive bullish AMD outlook

Wells Fargo expects a favorable setup into AMD’s Q1 results, scheduled for May 5, 2026. The optimism is largely tied to continued strength in EPYC server CPU demand, alongside momentum in artificial intelligence.

In particular, the firm highlighted expectations for additional large-scale AI GPU announcements, which could further reinforce AMD’s position in the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market.

Looking ahead, another key catalyst is AMD’s upcoming Accelerating AI event in July. The event is expected to feature major updates and potential product announcements, which could act as a fresh driver for the stock.

Analysts see significant upside for AMD stock

Among the more bullish voices, Wells Fargo analyst Aaron Rakers reiterated a Buy rating on AMD, setting a price target of $345.

That implies a potential upside of approximately 62.41% from current levels, reflecting confidence in both near-term execution and longer-term AI-driven growth.

The call adds to a growing wave of bullish sentiment around AMD. Earlier this week, Yik Ban Chong of Philip Securities also upgraded the stock, reinforcing the improving outlook among analysts.

AMD stock jumps following bullish calls

Following the renewed optimism, AMD shares moved sharply higher. At the time of publication, the stock was trading at $212.42, up 4.42% on the day.
